We're relocating!

Hi everyone!  So obviously it has been FOREVER since I've posted, but I figure since we've been in GB mostly everyone knows what we're up to anyway.  I had gotten a lot of requests to put pictures up somewhere that people would be able to order/print them off, so I created a shutterfly page.  As it turns out, I can also use that website for as a blog, so we will be moving over to that site.  Since it includes a lot more pictures and info, I have decided to make it a private  site, so you will need me to invite you.  I would LOVE for everyone to still be a part of our blog, so please, please, please leave me your email address either on here, facebook, or at ktprefontaine@gmail.com so that I can invite you to our new site!  Thanks!  Looking forward to getting this up and running again and sharing all of the adventures that Connecticut will bring us.

Getting ready to move

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but honestly nothing all that exciting has happened lately!  Although I have heard from my parents that even if it isn't exciting to us, it may be to everyone else, so I'll try to be better about posting more pics and videos of Ethan :) We're currently just trying to get everything all organized for the movers to come next week.  Our travel plans for next week have gotten a little complicated, but we were able to work everything out.  Looks like Ethan and I will be getting to GB next friday afternoon, and Zach will be there probably the following Monday or Tuesday.  He needs to take a trip up to Groton to look at some houses that we are interested in renting.  We're very happy that Pam and Chelsea will be coming down to help us out while we're moving.  At least we have our trip to Atlanta this weekend as a break from all of the craziness!  Our friends from college, RB and Steph live there and we are so excited to go visit them!  Mr. Ethan is getting so big!  He has started to walk holding our hands, so I'm sure it won't be long until the day when he just lets go and keeps going by himself!  He is also starting to eat a lot of table food, and isn't all that interested in baby food anymore.  We're really looking forward to Ethan's first Easter and have already bought all sorts of goodies for his Easter basket!  I'm also looking forward to being able to celebrate Easter with our family for the first time in a couple of years.  Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks!

Almost done....

Zach is almost done with school!  If all goes according to plan, he should be pretty much done after Wednesday.  After that we will be in full out move mode.  Our plan is to leave South Carolina on April 6th and be in Green Bay in time for Easter.  We don't know exactly how long we'll get to spend at home, but we're hoping it will be a couple of weeks before we have to head to Connecticut.  We had a great visit with my parents last week--we were sad to see them leave!  Here are some pictures of their visit.

Today Ethan started walking using his walker!  There is no holding him back now, he'll be walking in no time!  The video is only his second attempt....he's already much better at it.  We're looking forward to  my parents arriving on tuesday, so I should have lots of pictures to post next week.

Teething Sucks

Sorry I haven't exactly been keeping up with the blog.  We've had a rough week or two.  Ethan got another tooth and has been super grumpy!  He wakes up multiple times during the night and screams when I set him down.  Things seem to be getting better though, and I was actually able to clean up my house today!  On a brighter note, Ethan is now very very good at pulling himself up.  All he needs to stand up now is the wall....I imagine it won't be long until he starts walking!  He also has started babbling and making noises up a storm!  Zach has been working pretty much non-stop, but it will all be worth it when he gets done with school a couple of weeks early!  Here are some pictures and videos of Ethan's new accomplishments.

Goodbye Wisconsin :(

On Monday we said goodbye to Wisconsin after a wonderful trip home.  We had soooo much fun and miss everyone already!  Now we're counting down the days until my parents come to visit in February. (If anyone else feels the urge to travel to SC, we like visitors)  Ethan was such a trooper on the plane ride home, since we missed our connection in Atlanta and had to hang out at the airport for a couple of extra hours.  He is really crawling EVERYWHERE now, and even starting to pull himself up on furniture!  He is growing way too fast!!  Here are a few recent pictures of him.  I almost didn't want to post the ones of him in his Packer jersey, since I'm still a little bitter, but he's just too cute to pass up!

Well, after a week of being an absolute bear, Ethan got his first teeth today!  I hope he goes back to normal before we head to Wisconsin.  I'm super behind in posting videos, so here's one we took a week or two ago, and I'll get working on some other ones!

Ethan's first Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone!  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, we definitely did!  Of course we missed being home, but it was fun to have a low key day where we could just eat, watch the Packers, and play with all of Ethan's new toys!  He certainly is a spoiled baby boy :)  We were very happy, because Zach ended up getting Christmas eve off and only had to go into work for three hours in the afternoon on Christmas day.  We also got to skype with a bunch of our family.....makes me so excited for our trip home! We've been very busy lately with all sorts of Christmas-y activites, so I haven't posted much, but hopefully things should pick up after the holidays.  I've done two cookie exchanges already and still have one left, and we're hosting an ugly Christmas sweater party at our house tonight.  I can barely wait until Christmas to give Ethan his presents!  Every single present under our tree so far is for him!  We hope you have a great weekend and I'll post more soon!

Better late than never.....

It has been brought to my attention that I am a bit tardy in posting the pictures I promise, so here they are!  We had a great weekend with Dani and we are so happy she came to visit!  And, for those of you that have not heard the good news, Ethan and I will be home for TWO WEEKS in January, so you should come see us! Yay!

We are very excited to have Dani visiting this weekend!  Today we were out to lunch and we let Ethan try a lemon.  At first we thought he liked it, but eventually got a real taste of it and had a typical baby reaction! We took lots of cute pictures and will post some more after Dani leaves on monday!

Getting ready for Christmas

We spent the weekend putting out Christmas decorations and decorating our tree.  Turns out we bought a super big tree.  It's awesome.  However, as you can see from the pictures, there are no decorations at the very top, since we can't reach it!  No one in our neighborhood owns a ladder!  We'll figure something out eventually though!  I also am putting up some pictures of Ethan from his bath this morning--for some reason he particularly enjoyed it!
